We are on the outlook for a Part 2 architectural and studio assistant to join our team in London, UK.

Tholos Architects is a young company with a bold character, operating from its workshop in Deptford.

We specialise in the design and delivery of new build works, extensions, loft conversions, interior design, refurbishments and renovations. The team is interdisciplinary and offbeat, very attentive to sustainability and proud of providing an outstanding level of service to their clients.

We are currently looking to expand our team with someone who can genuinely fit in the company culture and participate in its development.

The ideal candidate will have:

• previous experience as a Part 2 architectural assistant, working in a UK practice

• experience with surveying and design work on residential properties

• creative design flair with good presentation skills, proven drawing accuracy, a good understanding of construction

• ability to work independently to deadlines and project deliverables

• proficiency in working with AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp, Word and Excel

• excellent communication skills and command of the English language

• curiosity, spatial thinking, focus and trainability

• interest in sustainability

• understanding of social networks

• right to work in UK (mandatory)
  

It would be a bonus for your application:

• proficiency in working with Revit and rendering

• experience with Planning process / Building Regulation

• experience in Interior Design

• LEED, Estidama, Green Star, Passivhaus knowledge / exposure

• command of other languages [especially LT/PL/RU]

What to expect:

• digitalise measured survey drawings and draft proposals using AutoCAD or Revit working with the senior Architect, creating plans, elevations and sections of the buildings

• draft project briefings and statements, also under dictation

• take part in site surveys

• take part in project strategy meetings

• prepare moodboards and gather inspirational images, 3D models and renders

• prepare presentations (layouts and/or slides) for meetings with clients

• prepare BOQs and FFE schedules

• help with general office duties (manage correspondence, track deliveries/inventories, keep agenda)

• help with SMM

• office based role
